Hourglass Quilt Class

Although this is a beginner friendly class, it is also a technique class for the Tucker Trimmer.  The best tool for making perfect half and quarter square triangles.  This quilt can be made to the size of your choosing.  If you want to make a baby quilt size, I recommend you start with 5” charm squares.  If you want to make more of a lap size quilt, you’ll need to start with 10” layer cake squares.  You can also add a border to make the quilt larger.  You’ll want a good mixture of lights and darks – you’ll want contrast.  So, when you are picking out your fabrics, make sure when pairing two squares that you have contrast.

I am using a Kansas Troubles Daffodils and Dragonflies layer cake.  Since this collection has more mediums/darks than lights, I purchased additional light yardage to mix in and balance my light and dark fabrics.
